Rivers: connections and contradictions between humans and the environment
Stefano FENOGLIO (Università di Torino) e Carlo CAMPOREALE (Politecnico di Torino)
The connections between humans and rivers are extensive and profound. Despite their uniqueness, over the last half-century, the state of rivers has been severely impacted by climate change, local impacts and often improper water management.
In this delicate context, the Academy of Sciences of Turin promotes a series of conferences aimed at illustrating some of the critical issues related to water. "Rivers: connections and contradictions between humans and the environment" is the second of four conferences, delivered by Prof. Stefano FENOGLIO (University of Turin) and Prof. Carlo CAMPOREALE (Polytechnic University of Turin), with an introduction by Prof. Luca Ridolfi (Polytechnic University of Turin).
